Sherbrooke 2013 - Cultural Program

Sherbrooke games ccct-coaticookSHERBROOKE: The Host Society of the Canada Summer Games–Sherbrooke 2013 has unveiled the cultural program that will light up the city in August. Outstanding performances will take place over 14 days, featuring more than 100 artists and promising to impress visitors, athletes, and the regional community! Thanks to the participation of Loto-Québec, major partner and presenter of the cultural component of the Canada Summer Games–Sherbrooke 2013, all performances are free and open to everyone.

PLACE DE LA FRANCOPHONIE LOTO-QUÉBEC

The celebrations will get underway at Place de la Cité, which will become Place de la Francophonie Loto-Québec. World music, local music, and comedy will be featured with compelling live performer Damien Robitaille topping the list, and promising to get everyone laughing and dancing.

CANADA GAMES ZONE

The festivities will then move to the Festival des traditions du monde where some 20 live performances will be offered in the Canada Games Zone.

CANADA GAMES PLACE

Downtown Sherbrooke will show its festive spirit at the corner of Wellington and Frontenac streets. Carré Strathcona, Place des Moulins, and the Loto-Québec outdoor stage will host several music and dance performances, and even extreme sports demonstrations.

CULTURAL PROJECTS

This diverse program is in addition to the 10 cultural projects that will be heralded in Sherbrooke and Coaticook throughout the Games.
